The slag dryer can be used for drying slag of different types and humidity, and has strong adaptability. The slag dryer is equipped with dust removal equipment and safety protection devices to ensure that the equipment will not cause harm to the environment and personnel during operation.

1. Determine the appropriate inlet and outlet temperatures according to the type and humidity of the slag. Normally, the inlet flue gas temperature of the dryer is controlled at 600-800℃, and the outlet exhaust gas temperature is controlled at 80-120℃.

2. Do not increase the temperature arbitrarily. Sometimes the temperature inside the cylinder may be low because the raw materials are put in too quickly. At this time, do not increase the temperature of the hot air furnace at will, but adjust the feed amount according to the moisture content of the discharged material after drying, or open the air door of the induced draft fan to prevent the material inside the cylinder from catching fire.

3. Strictly control the outlet temperature. If the outlet temperature of the dryer is too low (below about 55°C), condensation may occur, resulting in condensation inside the electrostatic precipitator, causing "discharge and creepage", reducing the dust removal effect, corroding the internal plates and wires of the electrostatic precipitator, etc. At the same time, it will also cause the vibration of the fan impeller and aggravate the damage of the fan.

The following methods can be used to monitor the working status of the coal slag dryer.

1. Temperature sensor. The temperature sensor installed at the inlet and outlet can monitor the temperature of the hot air inlet and outlet in real time and adjust it through the control system.

2. Humidity sensor. The humidity sensor installed on the slag flow path can measure the humidity of the slag and determine whether the expected drying effect is achieved.

3. Current and voltage sensor. By monitoring the current and voltage changes of the motor, the load condition and operating status of the slag dryer can be understood.

4. Observation window. An observation window is set on the slag dryer to visually observe the flow state and color changes of the slag to determine the drying effect.
