Sand dryers are mainly used to process sandy materials with high moisture content. Their drying range covers the following:
1. Various types of natural sand:
* River sand: The most commonly used sand in the construction industry, with strict requirements on moisture content.
* Sea sand: Requires desalination before drying for use in construction.
* Mountain sand/quartz sand: High purity, widely used in glass, casting, water treatment, and other industries.

2. Manufactured sand: Stone powder and fine particles produced from ores (such as granite and limestone) after crushing and sand making. It has a high moisture content and must be dried to meet usage standards.
3. Slag materials:
* Water-quenched blast furnace slag: An important raw material for producing slag powder and cement. Its initial moisture content is extremely high, making drying a critical process.
* Steel slag: After crushing and magnetic separation, it needs to be dried for subsequent comprehensive utilization.
4. Clay and bentonite: Widely used in ceramics, casting (as molding sand binder), drilling mud, and other fields, and are highly sensitive to moisture content.
