The slag dryer is currently in peak production. Under prolonged high temperature and high intensity operation, the motor of the slag dryer is prone to overheating and burning out the cables, causing a short circuit. In this situation, the slag dryer will not function properly.

The motor is the power source of the drying system, maintaining the normal operation of the drying drum. Therefore, a short circuit in the motor is a very troublesome problem. Here are some common scenarios:

1. When the operating current is 1.3 times the rated voltage, and the motor's rated output decreases, the speed ratio of the dryer drum decreases, and the heat transfer speed regulator fluctuates significantly in the low-range state. As a result, all drying occurs. The equipment transformer also shows a large deviation.

2. If the operating voltage is at the rated voltage, the operating frequency of the slag dryer will be too low, and the operating current will become unstable, fluctuating back and forth, which will damage the dryer's transformer and ammeter.

Considering the above situations, the heat transfer rate regulating valve of the slag dryer can be closed first to increase the operating resistance. Restarting the slag dryer after this can reduce the motor's operating current and increase the speed ratio of the dryer drum when initial conditions are met. Overheating of slag dryer motors is a recurring issue that cannot be ignored. Therefore, it's necessary to carefully inspect the motor for signs of overheating, short circuits, and other problems during operation. Consulting experts and technicians will provide a solution.
