Quartz sand dryer is an industrial equipment mainly used to remove moisture from quartz sand and improve its purity and quality. It achieves the evaporation of moisture through the contact of hot air with quartz sand, and is widely used in industries such as construction, chemical industry and glass manufacturing.
1. Particle size range. The particle size of quartz sand should be within a suitable range. Usually, the equipment will have a specified particle size range. For example, some equipment may require the particle size of quartz sand to be between 0.1mm and several millimeters to ensure that the material can move smoothly in the dryer, avoid excessive dust due to too small particles, or difficult to dry due to too large particles.
2. Particle size uniformity. The particle size of quartz sand should be as uniform as possible to reduce excessive fine powder and large particles, which helps to improve drying efficiency and maintain the consistent quality of quartz sand after drying.
3. Standard specifications. Certain application areas, such as quartz sand used as a proppant in the oil industry, have specific particle size requirements, such as API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications of 30/50, 20/40 and 40/70, etc. The dryer should be able to handle quartz sand that meets these specifications.
