Bentonite dryers are a type of equipment used specifically for drying bentonite, and are mainly used in building materials, ceramics, chemicals and other industries. Bentonite is a clay ore with hygroscopic and swellable properties, which contains a high amount of water, so it needs to be dried to meet the production requirements of different industrial fields.
The following drying media can be selected for bentonite dryers:
1. Hot air. Usually, bentonite dryers use hot air as the main drying medium. Hot air can effectively transfer heat, evaporate the water in bentonite, and achieve the purpose of drying.
2. Low-temperature steam. For some special needs, low-temperature steam can be considered as a drying medium to avoid the effect of excessively high temperatures on the properties of bentonite.
3. Thermal oil. Thermal oil has good heat transfer properties and can be used as a drying medium. It is suitable for drying bentonite under some special process conditions.
4. Infrared heating. Using infrared radiation for heating can achieve local heating of bentonite and improve the energy efficiency of bentonite dryers.
5. Microwave heating. Microwave heating can directly act on the interior of bentonite, accelerating the evaporation of water, and is a fast and effective drying method.
