The yellow sand dryer is a device dedicated to reducing the moisture content of yellow sand. It quickly evaporates the moisture in the yellow sand through the principle of hot air convection. The yellow sand dryer is mainly composed of a feeding device, a heat source, a drying cylinder, a discharging device and a dust removal system. During operation, the wet sand enters the rotating drying cylinder and fully contacts with the high-temperature hot air to exchange heat to achieve effective dehydration. The dried yellow sand is continuously discharged, which is suitable for industries such as construction and sand and gravel.
1. Output demand. Calculate the size of the required drying tank based on the expected production capacity and the amount of yellow sand to be processed per hour or per day.
2. Material properties. The initial moisture content, particle size distribution, bulk density and other characteristics of yellow sand affect its water holding capacity and drying efficiency during the drying process, thereby affecting the design size of the drying tank of the yellow sand dryer.
3. Drying efficiency. Based on the expected drying efficiency and drying time, combined with experimental data or industry standards, calculate the required drying space to ensure that the material reaches the target humidity within the specified time.
4. Equipment layout. The actual spatial layout of the factory, the material in and out method, and the connection of the subsequent conveying equipment will also affect the design size of the drying tank.
5. Economic considerations. While meeting production needs, it is also necessary to consider factors such as investment cost, operating cost and energy consumption to select an economically reasonable drying tank volume.
