1. Inappropriate equipment selection: The dryer's processing capacity is significantly lower than the upstream feeding rate, resulting in excessive material in the drying drum and ineffective drying.

2. Incorrect type selection: Different types of quartz sand dryers (e.g., single-drum, three-pass, fluidized bed, rotary rake, etc.) are suitable for quartz sand with different particle sizes, moisture contents, and properties. Choosing the wrong type leads to uneven drying, high energy consumption, and low efficiency.

3. Low efficiency of the heat source system: Poor performance of the hot air furnace results in incomplete combustion, low thermal efficiency, and insufficient or unstable heat supply.

4. Mismatched heat source temperatures: Excessively high temperatures cause the quartz sand surface to harden too quickly, making it difficult for internal moisture to evaporate; excessively low temperatures result in insufficient evaporation power and prolonged drying time.

5. Poor drum insulation: Insufficient or damaged insulation layers in the quartz sand dryer drum cause significant heat loss into the environment, resulting in low effective thermal energy utilization and significantly increased energy consumption.

6. Inadequate Lifting Plate Structure: The shape, quantity, and layout of the lifting plates inside the quartz sand drying cylinder are poorly designed, failing to fully lift the quartz sand, resulting in a small contact area between the material and hot air and insufficient heat exchange.

7. Incorrect Selection of Supporting Fans: Insufficient airflow from the induced draft fan: This prevents the timely discharge of high-humidity exhaust gas from the cylinder, leading to internal saturation and hindering further moisture evaporation. Insufficient airflow from the blower: This fails to provide enough fresh hot air, reducing overall heat and mass transfer efficiency.
