Common types of dryers can be divided into single-drum and three-drum dryers according to their external forms. Why do we often use three-drum dryers for sand dehydration and drying?
1. Compared with single-drum dryers, the volume of three-drum dryers is greatly reduced, which is one-third of the traditional volume, reducing a large part of the site capital investment for users.
2. At the same time, it is composed of three different cylinders embedded in each other according to the design principle. According to the principle of thermal function, the cylinder is equipped with lifting plates and guide plates with different angles and spacings, so that the sand can move forward along the spiral motion direction under the action of gravity, so that it stays in the cylinder for a suitable time and has sufficient dispersion, thereby enhancing the heat exchange effect between the sand and the high-temperature airflow and eliminating the wind tunnel phenomenon that often occurs in traditional equipment.
3. It makes the inner and middle cylinders surrounded by the outer cylinder to form a self-insulating system. The heat emitted from the surface of the inner and middle cylinders participates in the heat exchange of the materials in the outer layer of the cylinder, and the outer cylinder is at the low temperature end of the hot airflow, so the heat dissipation area and heat loss of the cylinder are significantly reduced.
4. During the drying operation, the three-drum dryer can fully utilize the waste heat, reduce heat loss, increase the heat exchange area, and greatly enhance the evaporation intensity per unit volume, thereby increasing the heat utilization rate, reducing consumption, and greatly enhancing the thermal efficiency. At the same time, it further reduces heat loss and environmental pollution, and well realizes the functions of energy saving, emission reduction, and low carbon.
